CodeCraft 2026 Hackathon

Students from Semester 3 Computer Science & Engineering brought laurels to the NLJIET institute by winning 1st Place at the prestigious CodeCraft 2026 Hackathon.
Competing under the "SmartCity Tech" track, the brilliant team—consisting of Jaiveer Trivedi, Krrish Patel, Aksha Mirza, Aryan Verma, and Shah Tirth—developed CivicVoice. Their innovation is an AI-powered civic issue reporting platform that features multimodal inputs, two-layer AI validation (using Qwen + Gemini), automated duplicate detection, and impact-based priority scoring to streamline citizen participation.

CodeCraft 2026

Today, in the digital era, coding is not just a technical skill but has become an important necessity for the future. Development is rapidly happening in fields like artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, app development, and digital innovation. To increase youth interest in coding during this time, the 'Code Crafters' club is being run by the Engineering and Technology Department of New L.J. College. This club encourages students to move ahead in the technology sector through initiatives aligned with 'Digital India' and 'Startup India.'.

Achivement 2026

Team Red Eye from New LJIET (6th-semester CSE AIML) secured 1st Place at Tic Tech Toe '26, hosted by DA-IICT Gandhinagar. Competing against 2,100+ teams nationwide, they earned a ₹40,000 cash prize for their project, SiteIQ.

The Winning Project: SiteIQ

SiteIQ is an AI-powered geospatial analyzer that calculates a "Site Readiness Score" for businesses. By clicking any location in India, users get instant viability data for 95+ use cases, from retail to EV stations.

Key Technical Highlights

Massive Data: Analyzes 66 real-world parameters across 2 lakh+ grid points covering all of India.

Advanced AI: Uses a 13-node LangGraph agent (Llama 3.3) to provide explainable scoring insights.

Precision Engineering: Built using FastAPI, React 19, and spatial tools like PostGIS and GeoPandas.

Core Features: Multi-site comparison, hotspot detection, and automated PDF report generation.

Hackathon 2026

Team Aetrix secured 1st Place at the PDEU Hackathon (March 2026) for creating Margdarshak, an AI-powered health triage system designed for rural India.

The Problem & Solution

To solve the lack of medical guidance in remote areas, the team built a WhatsApp-based chatbot that assesses symptom urgency in under 3 minutes, helping patients decide between home care or an emergency room visit.

Multilingual Support: Works via Voice & Text in Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, and English.

Hyper-Accessible: Runs on WhatsApp—no app installation or high-end smartphone required.

Medical Safety: Uses a deterministic rule engine to ensure zero AI hallucinations.

Practical Tools: Includes GPS navigation to nearby hospitals and a dashboard for ASHA workers to track patients.

Achivement 2025

Yuti Dave from New LJIET secured 1st Prize at IDEATHON 2025 for her project, MeetAssist. Developed during a 12-week internship at the GTU Design Innovation Centre, the tool focuses on automating corporate productivity.

Viksit Bhart Quiz 2025

Rushi Tiwari from New LJIET achieved national recognition as a State-Level Champion in the Viksit Bharat Quiz Competition 2025.

Out of 30 lakh participants, Rushi emerged as one of only 45 champions from Gujarat. This earned him a spot among the Top 3000 Young Leaders nationwide, culminating in a presentation at the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue in the presence of Hon. PM Narendra Modi.
